Pied-billed Grebe
Pied-billed Grebes (Podilymbus podiceps) share habitat with ducks but are not closey related to ducks. Grebes have lobed toes and the legs are set far back on the body. Grebes compresse feathers to dive. All images made at Gilbert Water Ranch.
